East Side Church has met on Monday nights for nearly 10 years at what was once considered the standard excepted
meeting time of 7:00P.M. However, times have changed and in a recent discussion with our Body we discovered that most all of our folks have to get up on Tuesday morning at some unbelievably early hour before the angels are even awake.
Therefore, in an attempt to keep everyone awake in service with threatening them with a “wet-willy”, we’ve decided to move our service times back one hour to 6:00P.M. This should allow everyone time to get home from work, get a bite to eat and make it to service. As usual we will still have some treats and coffee available in the “Overflow Cafe”, and we’ll be able to finish up early enough to give everyone ample time for prayer, fellowship, and who knows maybe even help out loading the equipment in the van.
Although I have to say none of this has ever been an issue. If God is moving in one of our services, sometimes it’s tough to get folks out before the auto-alarm goes off, there’s always plenty of help loading up, and sometimes we have to quiet folks down in the parking lot because they love to fellowship so much!
If you don’t have a church home, or Sundays don’t work for you to attend, come join us some Monday evening at the Brentwood-Darlington Community Center 7211 SE 62nd Ave., just a block north of Flavel or check us out online at East Side Church.
